One Technology, Countless Applications
Currently, Tether has an SBIR Phase II contract with the Marine Corps Systems Command (M67854-25-C-6531) to develop this technology. However, Tether is targeting a variety of sectors and operations for deployment.

Defense
Tether is developing its namesake technology for the NMESIS program and ROGUE-Fires vehicles. However, the Tether system can integrate with any military vehicle platform (HET, LVSR, PLS, HEMTT, JLTV, etc.) upfitted for autonomous operation. Furthermore, the leader of the platoon only requires minimal communication capabilities with its follower and can be any existing vehicle.

Forestry
Mountain roads are tough, but the Tether system is tougher. Built to withstand off-road and environmental conditions, the Tether could enable seasoned log truck drivers to haul more with minimal increased effort. They know the roads, they know the conditions, they remain in control.

Oilfield
Already, full autonomy is being tested in west Texas to haul sand. However, these trucks come with a significant upfront and operational cost. The Tether system offers similar capabilities at a fraction of the cost and integrates with your existing fleet of vehicles.

Less Than Truckload
Wherever and whenever, the Tether system can multiply the capacity of a single driver. With multiple trailers having the same origin and destination at the same time, hub and spoke operations are ideal for Tethered Platooning.
